November member spotlight is Dianne Lambdin who specialises in employment law.
About Dianne
Dianne has many years of executive-level experience. To bring her style of HR management to the businesses she works with, she set up Sussex HR Hub in 2014.
How long have you been a member of HRi?
Since its launch in 2020.
Why did you join HRi?
To support the concept of a membership organisation that is primarily for independent HR consultants and those of us running our own HR businesses. HRi not only provides a wealth of HR-related content but also a range of resources and information for HR business owners including commercial templates for important documents.
What’s your favourite part of being a member of HRi?
The founders and board members have a close relationship with the members (we get to speak to them!) and they are continually developing their offering in line with our feedback.
What is your specialism?
Employment law
What do you love most about HR? and being independent?
Since starting my business in 2014 I have been able to develop my own ideas and style of HR management without imposing HR ‘bling’ or trends on my clients’ businesses; in other words, I do it my way and it is liberating.
How do you define success?
I’m still here, working alongside my team and continuing to grow the business.
What is your most memorable win, achievement or celebration?
Every time I reach the top of a mountain with my boots on, or the bottom with my skis on, is an achievement and I celebrate my good fortune in being able to enjoy our beautiful countryside.
What’s one item you can’t live without?
My walking boots! Sorry, that’s two items.
