A Very Human Take on the Gender Pay Gap: “Salty man snacks”, muddy girls and the rain in Spain

8 March 2021 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Who is it for?

Professionals working in, or interested in, diversity and inclusion at work – in particular closing gender gaps, gender equality and intersectionality.

About the presenter/business:

Cat Wildman is the award-winning co-founder of the Global Equality Collective (www.thegec.org/app). She is a woman in STEM, a thought leader and speaker on gender equality, diversity and inclusion in business, and a mother of 3.

What you will get from the session:

Why are gender stereotypes so handy to humans? Let me take you on an eyebrow-raising journey through childhood and we’ll track the FIVE gender gaps that have already formed before you have ever set foot in the workplace.

Then, we’ll take a close look at the THREE gender gaps that form once we’re there. Get a deeper, more human understanding of the ‘whys’ behind gender gaps and how to spot them, understand them – and tackle them with confidence.
