Member spotlight Kirsten Warden is an HR generalist specialising in higher-risk industries.
About Kirsten
Kirsten set up her HR consultancy Pentland HR five years ago. Being independent gives Kirsten flexibility which she loves as well as the variety of work it brings. Kirsten plays an active role in supporting the needs of her clients by developing strong face-to-face relationships. Her approach is to dig deep to swiftly understand the business needs and provide a tailored solution.

Since it launched.
Why did you join HRi?
I missed the camaraderie and other views that you get of being part of an HR Team, this group is the next best thing.
What’s your favourite part of being a member of HRi?
How helpful everyone is, someone always has the answer!
What is your specialism?
Providing HR support and advice to businesses who work in higher-risk industries such as manufacturing, engineering, agriculture etc.
What do you love most about HR? and being independent?
The variety and the flexibility.
How do you define success?
Success to me is being there for my young family, being happy with myself and having happy clients.
What is your most memorable win, achievement or celebration?
Being self-employed and having a successful business 5 years on!
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
I won the British Riding Club Novice Eventing Championship in 2008.
Are you currently binge-watching any shows?
Don’t really binge-watch, but am excited for Silent Witness coming back soon! Love a crime drama/thriller.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Thai curry – yum!
What’s one item you can’t live without?
Eyeliner – feel naked without it!
