Michelle set up People Essentials with more than 20 years’ HR experience to fall back on.  Her HR career started with large corporates and multi-national businesses before she progressed to working with smaller businesses.  Working in SMEs suited her because she found the variety of work, close connection to the customer, speed of decision making and pace of change so much more exciting and rewarding.

SMEs have become her passion – her mission in setting up People Essentials is to help them differentiate employee and customer experience in a way that uses their size to advantage.

One of the first things Michelle did was develop an employee survey platform to help her clients identify the bridges and blockers to better productivity.  “We humanised the survey process (which in our opinion is what engagement is all about) and this has been key to me winning more business, achieving a more consistent workload and greater income”.
